Zombies aren't new to me. Really, they've never been new to me. It's one of those things we learned about growing up. The sky is blue, one plus one equals two, and when someone dies they're getting up and trying to eat you unless you put a bullet in their head.

It's not like this, though. The world changed irreparably, but it didn't end. We still have internet and politics and all the trappings of society, for better or worse. Most people never even see a zombie in person. Most people barely see other humans in person.

I'm telling you this for two reasons: the first is that I'm curious. Who else here is from a world with undead? I've noticed several ways the disease here differs from my own Kellis-Amberlee. I want to know what other variations there are.

The second reason is that I want you to know it's possible. The Rising happened 26 years ago. We adapted. If we did it there, you can do it here.

Don't give up.

what's your favorite decision you've ever made

tell me about it

i want to hear about what you like to do and what you've done that's special for you alone and what you just did for the sake of it

i don't want to bug supplies with this, so i'll ask here: does anyone have any black scrap leather? i'll trade you for it, i just need to make some repairs to a coat and it's worse off than i anticipated.
